Default Roadster test drive and Z Event @ Universal

I got a mailer from Universal City Nissan regarding an event they're having on Aug 16th.

Apparently its a Z Roadster test drive, they'll have the nismo Z race car there, and the Socal Z Club will be there signing memberships.

Not sure if it is invitation only.. I probably got the card because I purchased my 300ZX from there in 96 and i'm in there new car mailing list.

I don't have anymore details as I left the card at home. I'll post more info/corrections tomorrow.

Yes, that is my debate. A chance to kill a manual transmission as I continue to try and learn stick without owning a stick? But then I have to see those poopheads I hate.

Feel the same way though they never gave me a problem but they do give me attitude.

It's got a pic of the red JGTC widebody on the flyer.

I'm still debating. I didn't have a horrible experience with them, but it wasn't entirely great either.

Default i went just for the food and the test drive

i drove the le mans sunset roadster and i love it. there's just something about the open top. it was a stick, and it felt great. by the way, the suspension is softer, as i drove it on a canyon with many curves.

while i agree with sizong, iris, oc350, it was a good chance to actually drive the roadster without the "9 yards" credit check, etc.
thats what made it worth my while.

the roadster is definitely something to consider. at first i thought it was lighter than my coupe (by the way, i have the base,) but after the short "canyon run" i took my car the exact same way and realized that having the top down makes you feel like you're going a lot faster than you actually are.

also you could hear the exhaust note so i was the "new Z" experience all over again

there was virtually no line to get to drive the roadster so i took it twice.
