Default Avic D3 Audio Install in So Cal ????

Hey guys, just picked up a new pioneer avic d3 for the Z and looking for somewhere to get it installed today. I've had the avic d3 in my last Z but didn't like the installers I used back then. I will also pay a member cash if they can do a clean job and have expwrience.

I've searched a few times and I feel like there really needs to be an audio installers list to go along with the list of mechanical installers we have in So. Cal

If you're willing to drive up to the South Bay, I had my D3 and a previous system in another car installed at this place:

New Wave Sound
15800 Hawthorne Boulevard Suite B
Lawndale, CA 90260
(310) 542-4741

http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-wave-sound-lawndale

He (Paul, owner) did a really clean job and I would recommend him to anyone for sure.

a lot of guys can do it, just as long as you get the wiring kit for the deck to the car. it's not that hard once you have done it. i know a few members, including myself, have install their own decks in the car. it's the same idea with a single din or double din. just have to get the wire harness and the metra dash kit.

I can install suspension, exhaust etc on the Z but audio is not my thing. I know nothing about wiring and dont want to do a botch job setting up my bluetooth, Ipod and Nav.

Anyone else know of a good spot to get this bad boy installed ??

here is a link to installing the d3, it really is very simple follow the step by step.plus it shows u how to do the by pass which very few installers know about. this will allow u to use the nav without have to set the parking brake

I installed my own Alpine HU w/ iPod but I know nothing about setting up blu tooth, etc. The one thing that I can say is stay away from westcoast auto sound in Mission Viejo. They get great reviews from people because if you know them they will give you deals and do a decent job, if you don't know anything about audio they have good sales people that will walk you through everything. My first stereo install was there and after I uninstalled it they did not use a fuse from the battery, they used horrible wiring and their idea of a clean install was simply zip tying wires together. I did a better job with my own work in my Z. I'm not entirely sure of any good audio shops in OC these days but I also havent' looked hard

Yeah, I don't think it's too hard to install yourself. I installed my avic f700bt on my own (first install EVER) and it came out really nice and clean. If your willing, try it out. If not, I'm sure there are local places that are willing to help. I think someone posted up a step-by-step guide (the one I used). The harness was the same for my f700 as the d3. Good luck

They did almost every single mod in my Z and Vette in addition to them having Z's at the shop anyday of the week. Let them know I sent you down there and they will take care of you.
