run hijackthis and post log file ... download malwarebytes or (dont laugh) MS Security Essentials and scan in safe mode

TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE BEFORE REBOOTING IN SAFE MODE

boot in safe mode and scan - if you are unable to run software, you have something pretty nasty.

If you regularly run backups - wipe clean and start fresh if you dont want to mess with registry shiet..

You don't have to reformat... lol Most of the time it's just registry crap you gotta delete and Malwarebytes & Spybot both do a decent job in taking care of the rest.

 

Based off of Motormouth's location that is listed on his profile and posts, ("Drug Island") I would highly suggest against taking any of his advice whatsoever. :P
