Default Free K&N air-filter for So. Cal. Resident Only

With the JWT Popcharger, I don't need my K&N I bought when they first came out for $65.00 from Courtesy Nissan. First local yokel that PMs me can get it at our next meet.

P.S. If the request is made by any female So. Cal. Z owner, you're trumped.

Ive been mulling over leaving my intake totally stock vs popcharger vs K&N drop in. Ive concluded that the CAI is more trouble than its worth. Having had all 3 setups, can you give me any feedback?

Thnx.

From what I've read here and other forums/discussion groups, the stock airbox on the Z is pretty darn good already. Putting in a K&N would probably make little, if any difference in power/noise/air filtering/etc. Pretty much the best benefit you'd get out of a K&N is the fact that you can clean and reuse it, and you'd save a little money on buying replacement air filters.

I've also read anecdotes of people having engine problems (i.e., oil and other particulate matter coming off the filter into the engine), but I have no idea how true these stories are. I was considering putting in a K&N in my new Z as well, but I really don't see any potential benefit in doing it anymore. If you really want to make a difference, install a CAI.

Brian was first. Unless a So. Cal. Z girl claims within ... um lets say 24 hours from Brian's post (and can prove she's female ), it's his.

Well, I got four or five PMs. Mr. B was first and no chickie has trumped. So, Brian gets the K&N this weekend.

Hehe, I got a part installed in a show car.

Soooooo, Brian, are you going to letter on credits somewhere? I kind of like the sound of "Endowment of High Performance Air Filter sponsored by the HFM Foundation."
