Hey TOM,
What does the new ECU upgrade? Is this a TSB type of upgrade or performance upgrade which you'd have to pay yourself? I'm clueless....

You might want to consider going to Performance Nissan. It's a bit far but their service is amazing. Torrance Nissan is fine but I'm not sure if they can handle Z's well.... they lost a couple of bolts from the bottom engine cover last time I was there for an oil change. Also, I saw one mechanic stalling in my Z when he was trying to move the car.

According to Jason at Performance Nissan, this is "a VIN specific part and works with 2004 6MT". Miine is 2003 so I guess it wont work with mine.
