And why? Just trying to get some thoughts on where I might live in the future. I'm 29 and like to do the stuff a young cat likes to do if that helps. Thanks.

in future....when u have kids and stuff, u can live where i live....Cheshire, CT..the public hs is very good, quite town, no crimes at all, good average income, and if u have kids by then, one of the best HS in the country, except $45,000 per year....
only bad part is (if u have kids) it is the 5th most underage drinking in US
but im 16 years old so im all good

well i know their are a few planed neighborhoods in houston area. ( have a school and everything built into the neighborhood. So you might want to check those area's out for if you plan to get married.

But then again, you are in houston. There is always SOMETHING to do...

Austin or Dallas. I would stay away from Houston, its not a very nice city. People who grew up there love it, but only because they haven't lived in any other city to compare it to

I'm thinking of moving to Dallas area but don't know what to expect regarding housing costs and traffic into/out of Dallas. My gf was thinking of Frisco(?) or Plano would be the best in terms of affordable homes without a long commute into town.

I also hope the weather isn't too hot all the time. Plus, what's the job market like for those in IT?

DFW is a great area, Fort Worth has some very nice neighborhoods with lower taxes then a lot of the newer areas. The hotter areas, especially north of the mid cities and dallas are nice but have grown soo quickly traffic has become a problem, aka I35E...

Yeah, I remember I35E. My Mom used to live in Waxahachie which isn't so small anymore.

North Dallas (Frisco, Plano) is a great area.

Frisco is prob the one of the fastest growing city in North TX.
Nice homes, close to many great restaurants, large shopping areas, close to major highways and good looking womens

Austin's pretty damn cool- if you're not into masssive cities (such as Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio). Lots of outdoor stuff to do, plenty of music, college kids, and high tech.
