Default Bluebonnet Run, no wonder I didn't feel good...

Well, I took off halfway through the winery tour, because I was feeling worse and worse as each minute passed. I was having terrible chills and was feeling light headed. I drove home with my AC set to 85 degrees. Then I got almost back to Austin, and started sweating real bad, hah. I took my temperature when I got home and I had a 103.2 temperature. That explains it. I had not been feeling well since Friday because I tried to skip a day of sleep to get stuff done during the day (since I work nights at Broadwing). Well, that started things off. I don't know if it was that or that combined with something. I think that food at Purcell's might have had something to do with it, that stuff was terrible!

Well, after a rough night, I am down to 101 degrees and feeling better.

It was cool to meet some Houston folks, wish I could have stuck around. Where did you all go after the winery? Get some nice driving in? No incidents I hope.

Well, until next time...

sounds like symptom of S.A.R.S.!! if you still have 101deg of fever, go see doctor!

didn't know there was still Bluebonnet Run yesterday since it was raining all day, I was gonna go but it didn't look so good..(the weather).

What are SARS symptoms? I only have a fever, thought there were more symptoms for SARS. I got up to 104.1 a couple of hours ago. My Dr. had me start on some antiobiotics, and I'm feeling better already. I'm surprised I didn't hallucinate at 104.1, I have halucinated with low 103 degree temps when I got mono in high school.

Fun stuff eh?

Rob,

I am glad you made it home OK with that fever. Usually, the lack of adequate sleep will lower your body resistance to any virus. I got a mild cold a few weeks ago for the same problem. Don't worry, fever is not equal SARS.

After the winery tour, we went to Fayettville, then La Grange, then the Austin folks headed back home from there. Not sure if the Houston folks made any more stops.

See you at the next event or club meeting.

Thanks Al. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make that track day, by the way. I'm trying not to spend any money that I don't need to, and then there are medical bills and stuff causing finances to be even tighter. Someday I'll explain my whole medical situation. It's always awkward to bring up, and it's always kind of a downer for people to hear. I don't mind talking about it, but some people don't want to hear about it.

Rob,
Glad to hear you made it home o.k.
Sorry you didn't get to finish out the day with us. Things were winding down a little after the winery tour anyway, so you didn't miss much else.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like Purcell's. I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't exactly a culinary delight, but I didn't think it was THAT bad. I figured it was the best choice because (a) it was easily located, (b) it had a great big parking lot, (c) it was reasonably priced, (d) it was all you can eat, & (e) I didn't have to listen to: "I don't like Chinese, or I don't like Bar-B-Que, etc...

You don't reckon that fever affected your taste buds by any chance do you?

Thanks to you and EVERYONE else that came out and made it such a fun day !
