Just like that?
Our site started the Ingram Best Buy meet. It got up to 50 EXTREMELY nice cars until the rice started showing. Then it got shut down a few weeks later.
The Bennigans meet was started by an RX7 crew on our site that started to invite just a select few. It lasted only a few weeks before that too got out of hand.
Then the BnB meet in late March, and already people are f-ing it up.
My point is that it's not as simple as just avoiding the rice. The rice FOLLOW you. We're hoping to be proactive here and to keep the rice away from our meets by threatening them with public humiliation, and letting them know that burning out, reving, and drifting won't be tolerated. It's hard though because it's usually the people that get invited and are not online that are the troublemakers.

The Naco days where pretty nice. But like everyone said too many people doing inappropriate things caused one too many accidents and had the whole thing shut down. After all that it took people a while to get things going again at other spots.....but then again something always has to happen. It is, however, unfortunate that these things happen but people should use what has happened in the past as an example. Be safe out there people it will make all the difference between your safety or somone elses.

It was Culebra and 1604. And that got broken up because people eventually went to 311 to race. The cops got the hint when they saw a group of racers flying down all the highways leading to that spot. The best idea is to keep meets away from spots where they can race, such as highways. That way they won't attract the cops.
We've talked to the police several times before, and their main reason for breaking up a spot is because it "condones/attracts/promotes racing".

Lots of ppl on the forum want to see me at a meet but I just don't want to after reading a thread like this. I would really like to meet the mature 350z crowd and not the rice/kids. Let me know when anyone gets a real meet together for us old peeps.

Last time I went to a meet was up in MD about a year ago, cops ran us away because a kid in a civic was acting stupid. Before that I had a 92' camero RS with a 383 strocker. We would meet at the walmart lot on 1604 and nacadoches (this was like 6 years ago). Had alot of fun with that car untel I broke a rocker arm.

And it sounds like the person that started this tread doesn't know any of them. By the way, all the members in the groups are at least a mature 21 years or older. So, if this happens again to us, please introduce yourself to the group, espeacially me. If you don't have anyone to cruise with, feel free to tag along, just hope nothing goes wrong, like that night you saw us. No hard feelings, you just should not assume things that's all.
