Default smoked tail lights

I have a buddy who wants to smoke his tail lights on his F-150. I personally know nothing about smoking your lights, but I know a lot of us on the forum do have them.

Question is, what are the different application methods (overlays, tint, etc.) and where are you all getting them from?

Might as well throw in somebody/or a shop that can install em'.
Just trying to help out a buddy. i'd appreciate any advice.

A lot of people from here and g35driver use overlays from http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/BlueBatmobile2005/

I have a set purchased for both my G and the Z...Im just trying to find a shop to install them for me.

Hopefully this weekend I will have some success with the install, and if so, I will post the results here...

I have a set of overlays, they are really nice and are easy to install yourself, all you need is a spray bottle with water the tool to get the bubbles out, and you can get this at any auto store.

Getting them painted is a nicer way to go, but you are looking at $100 or more to get them done. You can get the paint to do it yourself but I do not recommend that, (may not come out how you hoped).
Another thing with getting them painted is you may get bugged by the cops.
Painting them is not legal per say, with the overlays you can remove them if you must and can even go back and put them back on later.
