Default My transmission just told me to eff off.

My tranny locked up last night, transmission fluid pouring out. Where in Austin should I take it to get fixed? Anyone have any experience with the shops here?

Update...I was driving the Z around my neighborhood to investigate the noise and BOOM, the rear tires locked for a split second, and then my engine blew.

The guys at Z Clinic said that I threw a rod and it was unusual to have that happen at 51K miles. They thought I was racing, but I was running 45mph and about 3500 revs.

So, I need a new tranny...not sure what the engine will need, whether I should purchase an engine or just try to salvage what I can.

It looks like your whole car is breaking down. If I were you I would sell it and get something you can afford.

Something I can afford? It is easily affordable when it's not broken...

also, it's not really very easy to sell without an engine or transmission.

I hope so. Happened to me in a vette back in the late 90s and it was a costly sob....unless you can fix it on your own..

Mods? Mileage? Need some more information. If it was stock then take it to a dealer and have them replace it under warranty.
