Can any of you recommend me a good, but cheap, place to get a custom alignment (adjust only camber and toes)?

I'm assuming that since you're asking here in the DFW lounge that you mean locally. I've always taken my Z to NTB, but only one with an in-ground lift. I paid for the 3 year warranty and have been back after changing parts to get it all corrected. I've had good luck with two different NTBs.

I use the ntb in grand prairie. They have the in ground alignment rack. The trick is to get the older black gentleman to do it. He knows his stuff, just have to make sure you tell them you have aftermarket kits

F*ck NTB. I also bought a 3 year alignment a while back but they always b1tch about how I have aftermarket parts and that the 3 year doesn't apply to those. I got the alignment package about 2-3 years ago and have been to literally all the ones around the DFW with in-ground racks I'm tired of arguing with those incompetent douches.

Any other recommendations?

Check with these guys. Its been awhile since I had an alignment done there so not sure the price. There used to dealing with track cars so alignment settings and aftermarket parts should not be to big a deal.

Or bring it by the house an I'll help you.

I am not in the alignment biz.
I have some home alignment tools that I made so I can change my own alignment for street or track. I am happy to show anyone how to make them and how to do it. Fronts are easy to do toe and depending on your A arms cambers pretty easy too. Rears are a bit of a pain but certainly doable.

Oh I was totally not asking you to do it for me. I'd love to learn a bit about being able to get mine set for street or track use. Making tools sounds fun.

I'm a firm believer in DIY.

When Fithamoto gets his arms and shocks on where going to set him up. You'll have to try and come by when we do his alignment and check it out.

This is what I have made. 1/2 conduit and aluminum angle makes the frame.
The digital gauge is from sears but if your phone has a good app for a level will work good to.
A couple of tape measures and your set to do the fronts. The rears need a laser pointer so your can square up the rear tires with the fronts. So you need a few more pieces and patience to do the rear but not bad.

Yea they tried that with me. When I bought the warranty I specifically asked if I could change what I wanted and bring it back. They said yes so I bought the 3 yr warranty. I've been back probly 4 times within the past year changing to coils, switching camber kits, goin to bags, and back to springs. I'm about to go back to have them redo for bags again. Every other time I tell them to charge me for half an hr so the tech doesn't get mad so have to change my settings. They may say you can bring it back but they don't really mean it. The warranty is just if something on their part messes up. I'd probly been better off just paying for one time alignment opposed to the warranty with as many times I have changed my suspension

This is turning into an event just for a single alignment.

On a serious note, I think we need to do a small "West Side" meet. There are a handful of us that live in west/southwest DFW and should get together.

I know of Skrilla, R1forever, myself and a couple of others.

So do you run a shop as a business or is it just for tinkering on the side?
