Ya i've seen him around in different threads over the years. This it's just terrible. I drive on roads like that every day and I'm always nervous to pass people cuz it's so easy for something like this to happen even when you're being careful. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Yeah those would either fall on my days off or I would show up for just a little bit since they are so close to my house. But I can't really make any other meets during work weeks. Getting up at 2:00am and home at 4:00pm doesn't leave me much time for meets. Then if it's not that shift I'm working all night.

But I'm gonna check with you guys later today to see if you're still at TMS. Actually... are you not there now?

 

Anyone pushing close to 500hp? I need to get a clutch/ flywheel combo

 

I don't have that much power, but the previous owner intended on building it for that and put in a SPEC Super clutch and lightweight flywheel. I called SPEC to ask about details and the guy told me "crap man you've got the highest rated clutch for that platform... that thing will handle 1350hp and 750lb/tq" or somewhere in those number ranges. Way overkill for stock power, but I mention it to give you an idea of who to look at.

It is streetable as I've had it in for 5 years, but it's not the most street friendly. It's kind of a ****-or-get-off-the-pot clutch. Not much for feathering, just wants to grab and go.

 

Thanks for the info. I'm about to drop in a built engine and might as well do a 6spd swap. I've swapped customers clutchs And flywheels but never checked into it

 

You're welcome to drive my car when we finally get to meet up. I've driven a stock clutch Z and compared to mine it's a totally different car. I can't speak on others like ACT or anything, but this one is a beast.

 

Congrats to fithamoto taking first place yesterday @ autocross..totally kick a$$!
