Isn't Megan Racing the only company with flex pipes in their test pipes anyway? I've had Megans before they put the flex pipes in and the reason for them doing that was because their fitment was **** to begin with (2nd worst after the eBay ones). A flex pipe is a bandaid fix for crappy fitment, imo.
Keep in mind that the OEM y-pipe has flex pipes already so there's no need for additional ones (not to mention the change in the pipe diameter and the flow disturbance inside the flex joints) and we also have exhaust hangers which allows for some movement.
Those are called Helmholtz resonators. They are tuned to particular resonant frequencies so that the waves from the resonator reduces or cancels out those frequencies, thereby changing the resulting sound. It also makes power through changes in pressure differences, iirc, but I don't know too much about the technicalities there to explain it properly.
for your reading pleasure on the helmhotlz stuff

FFUUUUU!!
I must either have the worst luck or I got someone stabbing my rear tires at a rate of 2 nails per week. I just found the 3rd staple-looking nail embedded into the sidewall.
I only had these on for 5 months and still has half of its tread left -- wtf.
Anybody have a 285/35/18 R-S3 with 5-6/32" of tread left?

I'm thinking Jake was talking about a PDR guy. He hooked me up with him and the guy did great work for cheap.
Jake is also the guy to go to for work on the Z. What area are you in Lucky?

Not sure if it's easier to just goto the dealer or if someone else here does this type of stuff.
