Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong as the only basis I have for this information is discount tires website but I though I read that tread wear ratings can only be compared to tires made by the same manufacturer. Like a 300 treadwear rating on say bridgestone could be different than a 300 treadwear rating on say pirelli. Idk how true this is if at all, but I'm curious.

Here is some info for you guys to check out :

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=48

http://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/510/buy-tires

http://www.teglerizer.com/tirecharts/explain.html

I always thought that the higher the Treadwear number------the longer the tire should last.....which is somewhat true I guess.

So Im rebuilding my BREMBO's - already have the rebuild kit for front and rear. I was having a hard time finding rubber grease until I found this place in Frisco... chicane23store dot com
not only do they have the rubber grease I am looking for but they also have brembo seal conditioning fluid for when I put everything back together. They are going to be like NEW when Im done and hopefully I can have a decent DIY after Im done..

I'm sure part of the reason I am so happy with then is that this is the first set of new tires I've put on my z. It had potenza re960's when I bought it and they were very worn when I bought the nt555's so since it's been so long maybe I just feel like I have more dry traction during spirited driving. I do feel that the wet traction is nowhere near the potenzas but I don't think that's a big factor when your talking about track tires unless your actually going to be on a track in the rain. Just throwing this out there more as a question than a suggestion but what about nitto nt01's or something out of the hankook ventus lineup.
I didn't mean to sound disparaging in any way. I was just saying that from my experience, Nittos have not been worth my time/money. Also, be VERY careful when it rains on the Nittos, especially when they get near the wear bars. You'll lose traction faster than you can say "oh ****" in the wet. My car was wobbling and felt extremely unstable going 55 mph on the highway in light rain. Never again.

DO IT! Go to Dallas Raceway in Crandall. They have much better prep than Texas Motorplex and is a faster track (it makes you feel better ). Oh, and take Nexx with you.

When I had the NT555 ZR Extremes, I was strictly N/A. And I don't think there are any street tires that can hold the instant tq of nitrous, especially during a launch.

I believe you're correct; they're relative numbers that do not follow a strict system. It's better to compare within the brand than between brands.

I hate baseball so I could care less lol. I honestly find womens golf more exciting than baseball. I'm not a big basketball fan either. Football ftw!

We have a TV in the office and we usually watch or listen to the games too.
