No idea if it's the harness or the sensor, but it's throwing an "excessively low voltage" code. I'm going to just get the harness and hope that's what's causing the codes. I'm reading that the sensors don't really go bad too often and it's mostly the harness/wiring deterioration.
It is a pain to get to but I had it all off in about an hour. I first ordered a knock sensor and discovered it was the harness not the sensor. I went ahead and replaced both since I had them and it was all open. I got the knock sensor and gaskets form autozone.
I am around next week if you want some help.

It would be cold too between those breasts ! ![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon21.gif)
They would need a coin purse to hold all that change jingling around.
Travis....big storm brewing out in So.Cal. Hopefully the snow level is low enough for it to snow in the local mountains.

I ordered the O2 sensor and the knock sensor harness yesterday so I should be OK by next week. ![thumbup](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)
I'm more worried about my tires. I don't know if I have enough rubber left on my current set for a track day.

The NT01 is an R-compound. If you're looking for a street rated Nitto tire between those two you suggested look at the NT05. As for reviews I can't help you there.

555r is an r compund too. I had a set of nt05s, they aere grippy and i liked them except for the fact they didnt last long at all. I got six months and 10k miles out of them and only two autox and one time trial on them. The rest was daily driving.

Thanks Eric - i was indeed looking at the R compound tires - I don't have a need for street rated on the rota wheels - I am curious to try the R compounds since they won't be daily driven to see approx how many events i can squeak out of them -
Thanks Pat -
Thanks Pat -

Sup guys I haven't been on the board in a few months but I lurk when I have time, so the new rims are incoming, I ordered tires too, unfortunately no hancook in my size at all
I ordered some michelin in the front so I'm looking forward to them costs me 242 a piece for the two of them. I had no idea how nice the tire warrantee is...45k miles and shop pays the difference. My daughter has a guy who is into her so he was able to give me a good price, the rears are bfg t/a kd or something like that also 45k mileage warrantee and free rotations at a cheeper $230 for each tire so its not too bad anyway I wanted some thoughts from you guys, the rears are 295/40 and will be on the new 18x11's

I know we already talked about the offsets on your new wheels so I'm assuming you're good on those.
As far as tires go, 295/40/18 is too tall. Use the below sites to help you find the right wheel offsets/tire sizes using existing set ups that are known to work well:

BFG T/A KD is a good tire but is not meant for the wet at all, IIRC. It used to be one of the best in the dry several years back but has fallen off in the recent years. Regardless, it's still a sticky tire and should be plenty for the streets.
Michelin makes like 100 different models of tires, and you didn't specify, but they're a good tire company as well. I used to sport PS2s and liked them a lot, minus their price, but I hated their Pilot Sports. Super Sports are supposed to be PS2 replacements, I hear.

Hey Skrilla how's it going ? ![thumbup](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)
---------
So I took advantage of Cyber Monday last week and ordered a set of new front rotors from R1Concepts and these were Already on sale, plus an extra 20% off and for cyber monday free shipping ! I paid like $ 192.00 shipped !
I think they might still be on sale...check out their site.
-------
Which brings me to my next subject of direction....I got this paper with the rotors...and now you can see what they recommend. I was always told that the veins inside determine which direction they should be....but this paper says you can do either....but they recommend them the way shown on the paper.
What do you guys think ? I guess as long as it doesn't impede performance then it is just a preferrence & cosmetic thing.

Mike - I didn't realize you were asking about the 555R. I had the NT555 in my head. I wouldn't run that tire given the other choices out there. As for running an R-comp in general... it puts you in a different class with all the fast dudes at autocross. Chris F, Chris P, Scott, and Patrick have all had success with the Hankook R-S3 both on autocross and track time.
The 140 tread rating puts it at the lowest you can have and still be classified as a street tire.
I'm going with R-S3s for next year to be part of the cool crowd.
