Thanks for setting up the meet, Travis, as always.
DO IT.
Lol, Internet Brands sent me a My350Z.com banner a couple of months ago for members to take pictures with. With hopes of keeping the 350Z (and this site) alive, they had suggested we do a "banner tour" where the banner gets sent to different parts of the country for members to take pictures with. I asked for it to be sent to me first so our region is starting it off. I was thinking we could also sign the back (or maybe front) of it. Any other ideas are welcome. I will post an announcement thread after the meet with more details.
Some of you older members may remember the Traveling Nismo Bears from several years back, which was basically the same thing except with 3 Nismo Bear dolls from Japan.

I'd swing by since I'm right there lol but Mike just told me he thinks we are working night shifts this weekend. 8pm to 6 am Friday through Monday either way that's when my lunch ends so I wouldn't make it in time lol

Well back from the tune.
So the car has a CAI, HFC, and single 3" exhaust.
All numbers are temperature corrected.
Uncorrected numbers were about 7HP higher.
Baseline pull. AFR's all over the place 226hp, 227trq. .
Final 93 octane pull, 233hp, 231trq
Torqo fuel Accelerator, mixed octane to 99. 238hp 232trq
Overall about what I was expecting. I was curious about the Octane booster but it helps keep the knock away. Steve was able to add a little more timing and keep it longer before the knock sensor started to pull timing. It helped a lot in the last 800rpm range.
On the 93 tune with the octane booster it added 1-2 hp.
On the chart;
top line is 99 tune
middle is the 93 tune with 93 gas.
bottom is the baseline.
Screen pic is the baseline pull with the AFR all over the place.

I would have taken more too. With limited mods and 120,000 miles thats what you get!
Car feels good, got rid of the laggy feeling in the lower rpm range.

Such awesome weather around the DFW -- taking advantage and giving my car a nice wash and wax.

240-250 HP is about normal for us DE engines with the normal bolt ons.
Mine did hit 250 tho.
Scott, did it feel a lot more responsive ?

Chris,
I used to have kind of a lag when stepping in from a low to mid range rpm, especially in 2nd gear. That seems to be gone. Pulls good all the way to 7000rpm know with the raised rev limiter.
AFR on the stock tune were a little lean then went rich thru the rpm band. Know they are steady around 12.8 thru the full pull.

Numbers look about right to me. Keep in mind that DEs putting down mid 200s is on dynojets and the low 200s are on MD or DDs usually.
I used to use Torco's octane booster as a cheap alternative to 109+ race gas when spraying back in the day. Are you going to be using it when you compete, Scott?

I think i'll use it with the 93 octane tune during the hotter months. Just to keep the knock sensor from pulling any timing. But even then it might only help in the last 1000rpm. Not hardly worth the cost given the small gain and small amount of time spent in that rpm range.
Steve was showing me were the timing is pulled because of knock and how the ecu is slow to let the advanced timing come back in. So a knock in one part of the curve can effect the rest of the pull do to the timing being pull back, even if its not needed.
