JasonZYA you finally got a new TV????
tickets = $100 section 317

I shopped for tickets on craigslist a day before, since many leave town and bail on their tickets. I saved $25 off from face value.

plasma =

Man I'm going to have to get on craigslist or stubhub sometime before the season is over. I haven't made a game yet and I keep hearing that actual seats are better than the party pass.

What's wrong with Plasma's? Don't say "burn-in" either.

i love plasma's for the their picture quality. burn in does suck and does happen though. i can live with a little burn in for the better value and picture quality over lcd.

It's not that its not a concern........IT STILL IS -- they simply now make plasma's with less heat generated in the units themselves and now have screen savers and autoshut off when nothing is touched......they also have repair software that you can run that shoots off a bunch of lights and cross colors to help fix it....

however, it still happens......

friend of mine had a cheesy skydiving video he ordered online....fell asleep late at night after watching it for the 30th time and when he woke up the autoshut off or the screen saver didnt do anything becuase the dvd when it ended came to a screen that showed the skydiving team logo......movement was still playing but the logo got "burned in" to his new technology high dollar plasma.....

he took it in for warranty and they told him he was SOL...

I don't like the glare plasma has. I remember being able to see the whole best buy store in the reflection. Especially since the room I play 360 in has windows on each side, so an LCD is necessary. Downstairs we have one of the rear projection, Mitsu, DLP TV's that's alot bigger. For me personally, anything in HD is good enough.

Ya, for you its no biggy, your aware and competent to understand the technology you purchased............

The bad rep plasma gets is from the non techno weenies that bark and complain when their tv has burn in when they let the kids leave it running...

its like the lady whos car blew up because "she didnt know she had to change the oil"

same thing........knowledge base on technology isnt always there.....i mean, really, there is a customer service line for anything these days...including ipod......ipod....seriously...

get what im say'n...

Oh well..to each own..feels like I'm in an argument. There's something wrong with everything when there's an idiot that puts it in use.

They all have pros and cons, different price ranges, different uses, etc. I used to work at Circuit City before they closed down few years back and I sold more LCD screens than Plasma and DLP projections combined. LEDs FTW, though.
