Haha it's actually a DLP rear projection. I prefer that to LCD when going larger than 46" or so.

I was hesitant to buy it cause of the apartment, but it's oh so nice. We decided to just wait to buy a house. We're going to rent a house in the spring and save for another year cause we really don't know where we're going to live. We want to move back to Fort Worth, but we'll see what happens with my wife's career situation next year.

I'm pretty sure that's because the price tag jumps immediately as well lol. I'm guessing it's a Mitsubishi DLP?

Well price is always a factor, but that's not why I chose DLP over LCD. Yes it's a Mitsubishi.

We have a 42" LCD in the bedroom and it's also nice. I just prefer DLP when it comes to the larger screens.

I love my 65" in my living room, sure its big (projector style), but my wife and I refuse to go smaller just to get an LCD, plus it works great....so there is no "need"..

Hooking up a lap top to a tv must rock..........i haven't done it before, but my wife and I have 3 laptops between the two of us?? how that happened...I need to try it...

Day after thanksgiving shopping we bought:
3 flat screen LCD's for every room
desktop with windows 7 for the 4th bedroom/office
and another desktop with windows 7 for my godkids xmas present this year.

I won't upgrade my TV for a few years (at least I don't see the need right now), but when I do it will probably be an LED. I'd like to see how the LED tv's progress. They are already priced reasonably which is strange for the "newest" technology in the mainstream market.

No I mean LED. You haven't seen one yet? They're pretty sweet, but I want to see how much better they can get by the time I'm ready to buy a new TV. Go to Best Buy and check them out.

Sounds like a plan. I have a sweet theater setup, but it's really only comfy for two.

Your house is much more accommodating for more people.

No offense JasonZYA but those big projector style tv's GOTTA go. Those thing put out terrible quality pictures. You definitely need to upgrade that thing it also takes up like 1/2 the living room. I hate those tv's lol.

I'd still much rather prefer a LCD/Plasma over DLP any day. I do own a DLP though and there are a few DLP things that I notice that LCD don't have such as the silk screen effect it gives.

Edit: JasonZYA I read you got 3 new tv's for the room? What'd ya get? Gonna take a wild guess and say the Westinghouse 32" LCD from Target for 250$? That's if you camped out at least.

Picture quality to me is just fine......its hooked up hdmi for movies and were not big "we need HD" type peepz...

na...no camping out for us....we did that one year some few years back and i doubt well ever do that again.....

I don't know the brand........i don't pay attention to things like that much...but i think they are sanyo or samsung or some crap....never the less two of them are TV's in spare bedrooms that only get used when people/family come visit us.......so they will be off more than they are ever gonna be on...lol, i dont even have a box hooked up in one of the rooms yet...i have dish network coming out this week to set me up with that...
