zrzly?

That sucks big time....very frustrating indeed.

Just check the Marketplace for people selling tires....usually you can find a good deal.

I just bought some front tires that I know I'll need by summer so I just got them early.

But keep those Rears for some Drag racing slicks !

That's a good deal you got Chris, they're 179$ on tirerack a piece for those without shipping. Zlzy what happen at discount? If I buy tires from there I normally get them to price match tire racks price.

Yeah Q,

I haven't seen those tires for under $ 200.....so about $ 300 shipped is an awesome deal. I kinda like having a set or replacement tires already in place.
Now I don't have to worry about tires for a while.

On a different note, I just came back from the State Insp. place that has been doing my inspections since I bought the Z.....and today he tells me that it won't pass because of my Tint on the front window wasn't in compliance with the AS1 mark ???

I told him that it was under or at it and that the tint runs straight across the windshield.

Well it's deceiving because of the curvature of the glass. if you look straight down the line...it's straight across....but if you back up and look at the tint...it bows down at the outside edges.

Since there were no AS1 marks on the outer edge he let it slide, but if I were to get pulled over from a DPS officer.....I would get written up.

Anyways...got the Inspection and I'm good to go for another year. Guess I'll need to find another place to bring the Z next year.

Hey DFW, checking in from Nebraska. You guys/gals have been busy posting the last couple of weeks. Took me a while to catch up. Here are a few pics of the crap I had to drive in when I got up here just after the New Year. Reading all complaining about the cold, and it being 25 degrees. Sheesh. My first week up here I didn't even see double digits. Talk about freaking cold!!! Had a blizzard come through while at work one day. I forgot to wear a hat and was scraping 4 inches of snow off the car with a temp of -2 and a 30+ mph wind putting the chills down into the -20's to -30's. Now that $h1t is coooooold. Damn near got frostbite on my ears. I can't wait to get back home in a couple of months, to some warmer weather. Snow has finally begun to melt the last few days. Good to see you guys are keeping things going down there. Maybe I can finally make it to a meet sometime in April/May.

Jake, I never found any snow tires for reasonable $$. I have to say though, the Z did pretty well for driving on the snow packed roads the first week or so here. I was surprised. You just have to be a grandma on the gas pedal. I have to admit it was a bit fun pushing the back end around when there was no traffic. Driving on snow roads = easy drifiting without ruining the tires!!

well discount was simple, it was to get a tire patched, I realized my tires were bald in the rear and they decided to pro-rate the tires for 199 mounted and balanced since they were warrantied for 40K but the rears only got 14K so they prorated for 26k miles lol. unfortunately we don't have that money right now. on another note, I wrapped some door pieces in suede and love the way they look, but am maybeeee 85% happy with the finish, wanna get it done legitly, anybody have any good interior shops that would do the panels with the windows and door locks?

The Boys did not display their best ability today....unfortunately, today was the day it counted the most !

At least they're getting closer to the championship....there is always next year.

+1... I don't look forward to hearing all of the sports writers in DFW start complaining about the wrong things though.

Nexx: tracshun=an excuse to not enjoy yourself. in all seriousness my "racing slicks"= stoopid.

looks like tax returns are holding alot in store. testpipes/osiris/and clutch/flywheel= woopieeeee and yes, poor boys. they'll get one step closer each year. maybe next year will be their year so they can play in their new stadium
