Just start with a flathead screw driver or anything flat at the top (closer to the third light) and outside (away from glass) of the panel. Once you get enough lift on the panels from the hatch, just move your hand across the entire lining of the panel and they will pop out on its own. Just pull on it if it doesn't come out; nothing will break.
Putting it back together is slightly tricky, but all you have to do is line it up and bang the panel into the hatch and it'll seat itself (you're bound to break 1 or 2 of the plastic things that hold the panel, though). I don't have a rattle, even though I've broke 2. If and when you break more than 1, just relocate the unbroken ones strategically to even the spacing between them.
The weight is only like 2.5lbs or something - very light. You're supposed to take that out when you install a spoiler (excluding the stock spoiler). Also, do the penny method while you're at it.

That's the point of this thread, no real purpose, just off topic and random chat. The other regions have it and it's good. Don't delete it I want it to get as long as possible! I would also get the proper door popping tool. So you won't break any clips, and it's only a few bucks.

Have fun doing that. I wouldn't want to do it or even put the panels back. Half of my panels are out from installing nitrous and I've been too lazy to put everything back in.

The thread is way too long and it serves no real purpose anyway. It's kind of like the OT's monthly threads, which get deleted each month and a new one is started.

I only knew you under this username. I thought you changed it.
And you never will..

What it should resemble after you take off the panel and the dead weight.

awesome, thanks chris. my evo r blitz spoiler is less than 2.5 pounds so i think removing the weight will fix my issue. i just ordered some r888's for track day. i tried going wot in 3rd gear today and i couldnt make it to 4500rpm before rear end would just fly sideways. i hope the r888's help.
are you going to be running juice at the strip?

And of course I'll be spraying. When are your tires getting in?
Are you coming to the drag strip?
