Yeah I'm putting 20mm in the front so I need to put extended studs in.

Oh ok. So you're not using the bolt on spacers that have built in studs. You're knocking out your factory lugs and putting in new extended lugs. I gotcha.

Have you removed the rotors yet? You just put in an old crusty lug on the stud and than hammer it out,..the lug will be all messed up so don't use your new rays lug or ones you want to keep.

Here's a DIY that Chris wrote that helped me out.

I put a socket on there and hit it and it messed up the thread. I don't have any spare lugs unfortunately. I hit it with a wooden log too that I used to knock the rotor loose. I've given up for the night and will just do it at Jakes as originally planned.

Wut you messed up the thread by hitting it with a wooden log?? Sorry but I don't know why that sounds extremely funny. You do not own a hammer of any at all??

I used a hammer with a smaller socket on the lug (which is what kinda messed up the threads), but the socket would fall off so I couldn't hit it very hard without worrying about nailing a finger. After that did nothing, I used the same log from loosening the rotor and knocked it into the lug as hard as I could. Basically I wanted something softer than metal so it wouldn't damage it. I don't see hitting a rotor or a bare lug with a hammer going too well.

I probably could have gotten it eventually, but Entourage was coming on soon and I didn't want to risk messing anything up worse and possibly not being able to drive to Jake's tomorrow.

Good - I need to put my ball joint tool to use...its getting lonely...and no need to bang shiet out holmes - it will get pressed out and in like it should, and you wont have to worry about messing up threads or anything. It might take longer doing one at a time - but it will worth the wait when you see your new wheels and everything done

Thumbs up Spl front compression arm bushing install!

REMOVE THE UNDERBRACE:

USING THE SOCKET ACIDJAKE BOUGHT - AS SHOWN IN THE SPL INSTRUCTIONS,
PRESS OUT THE OEM RUBBER BUSHING:

OEM RUBBER BUSHING REMOVED FROM COMPRESSION ARM:

REASON FOR REPLACEMENT - TORN!!!
HERE IS THE DAMAGE: TORN COMPRESSION ARM BUSHING, IE BAD CASTER!

BEFORE PRESSING IN THE NEW SPL BUSHING - YOU MUST MEASURE TO ENSURE PROPER PRESS FIT:

NOW TIME TO PUT THE SPL BUSHING IN:
COMPRESSION ARM MUST BE ORIENTED WHERE RECEIVING TAPE IS UP TO ACCEPT THE BUSHING:

PRESSING THE SPL BUSHING IN:

SPL INSTALLED:

I USED BLUE TAPE TEMPORARILY TO HOLD THE BUSHING CONE IN PLACE WHILE I PUT THE BRACE BACK ON:

DONE!
BACK ON THE CAR:

No more caster issues for me!!! Woo hooo!!!!

I plan on getting my alignment sometime this week....

Car steering response is smooth......i didn't honestly expect that at all.....i guess the oem blown rubber bushings were causing way more friction and steering effort that I honestly expected...

car turns super smooth and effortlessly...

I feel everything - even putting it in gear...its been that way since the bushings been in...its like getting used to the car all over again..

I tell you what though - taking off at the drift event - there was NO WHEEL hop whatsoever. its been fun learning the car all over again.. LOVE IT!

ya man, well the solid diff bushings really do eliminate a lot of the drive train NVH that nissan built into the moving system....

Noise, Vibration and Harshness:

It's all about the Noise, shake, shimmy and the judder............LOL..."shimmy" LOL.......what the hell is a "judder".....

you hearing noises and what not after the install is probably normal.....

however, if you do feel something is wrong...then dont dismiss it for sure....

have you changed your diff fluid yet??? I know that diff was the 3.3 swap we did back at DFW TECH DAY?? that would be the first part of process of elimination to where you can rest assured all is well.......from there, check the torque on bolts, etc... and later leave it to the natural NVH of the solid diff bushings.........

meh...sound of performance! gotta love it...
