Just got done washing the Z, man it was so dirty. I think I might be selling the nismo for 240. This is not for sure right now but its crossing my mind. Love the car but need to move out soon. Would like the 24k to put on a house.

Update: Took my car to Don Davis Repair in Arlington for repair quotes, came out to be 4k worth of damage. I will be taking it into them tomorrow morning - it's going to take about two weeks to get back.

Hopefully it's nice and shiny when it comes home!

I thought you ended up getting one of the HKS knock offs? I was looking more at that the test pipes, but maybe after my next pay check, I'll see what I could do for the test pipes you have now.

 

You also have to take into account that AWD has one of the lowest reading dyno's in the area, so six hp on Keith's dyno could translate to higher numbers elsewhere.

 

Could be a great time to upgrade to newer wheels or whatever ??? I would think it's up to you...just sayin'


That's right with the Nismo it Redlines at 7500....But still with that Rev limiter off you can push her a tad more ! ( wink, wink )

Oh and Canuck....don't get me wrong on the UpRev thing...I want to get some tuning done also so I want your input.

I just don't get Dyno's at different shops ???? One says one thing...another says something totally different....and another is putting down a different set of numbers.

I sorta know all the different perameters that wil change things...but thats like having a weight scale that you step on at your house that reads different depending on which scale you weigh yourself on.

Anyways....Basically I would like to get UpRev to tune my Z but I want maps !

 

I would love to get my car tuned at UpRev too, but that would be way pricey. I have a good number of friends who have had an excellent experience with Kieth, so unless Dynosaur picks up UpRev, I'm pretty sure once I get my Z tuned I'll be heading to him. I'd take Clint/Ross only because they are closer, really, but they specialize in Poopras so I'm not sure how much they'd be able to eek out of the Z.

Really, the only dyno someone should use when it comes to tuning is the one they get baselined on, as that is the one that will actually give them the difference in before and after. There are so many variables to getting dyno numbers, I tend to look at them as good to just get a feel where you are at. At the end of the day, the only real way to tell who is faster is to line 'em up and run.

 

They said they will be able to refurb the two curbed wheels and have them look brand new when done... we'll see how they turn out. If it's not up to my standards then I'll start looking for wheels. Until then, I'm holding off and saving money.
