Default DMV dept in houston?

Where can I go to get my Kansas DL changed to TX one, guys?
On Yahoo/Local, it shows a few places:

Transportation Department
(713) 802-5000
7721 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007

Transportation Department
(713) 802-4300
10000 Northwest Fwy, #105, Houston, TX 77092

Transportation Department
(713) 802-5321
6810 Old Katy Rd, Houston, TX 77024

Are they the same then?

Does that mean that you finally made it to Houston or still on the way! If so, what area? If you are on the westside and don't mind driving, there's one in Rosenberg with no line. The lines can be frustratingly long and make you not want to change a thing.

my wife is already there.
im still here in ks but i will be there next wednesday.
i will be around the bellair (sp) area, lol.
Since we are on this topic, I have 2 more questions if you guys dont mind helping out an outsider, lol:

1.When getting DL changed, it is said to have Birth Certificate, Passport and ss card, correct?

2.Which side of town would be easier to live (housing expenses and safety issues, etc...)?

Houston is HUGH!!! So to answer what side of town to live... We would need to know where you work. I know some people that drive 1.5-2hrs+ to get to work. Expect it to take 30-45mins to anywhere in Houston.

As far as getting the DL... Take everything! I got mine done in Conroe and arrive 45mins before they open. Some longer Houstonians might be able to tell you a shorter wait location.

I think we are going to look for houses in/around Katy.
People said that we need to find a place outside Harris County if we want nicer area to live (but that does not mean that we want a 500k houses area, lol)
And I will bring everything to the DMV when I get down there.

+1 on the rosenburg dmv, dont waste ur time going anywhere else. u may have to drive 30 or 40 minutes but its better to get there and get it done with no line than to get there and wait in line for hours..... yes i said hours.
secondly dont count out harris county, there are plenty of affordable areas to live so just spend some time on har.com and look at the interactive map, u can set the filters to just show listings in ur price range and its like google maps u can just drag the map around with ur mouse. what part of town is the office in?

I will be at a location on San Felipe st.
I think that it is closed to The Galeria.

But my wife works very closely to Katy so I want to save her a trip from/to work.

Check out my neighborhood, Lakemont. Homes run around 200K.

http://www.lennar.com/New-Homes/Texa...nce-Collection

It's right off the West Park Toll road so it's about a 20 min drive to the Galleria area, it's a Richmond,Tx address but Katy is just on the other side of the toll road. Check out Lennar Homes because you get all the appliances included like fridge.

As for DPS, if you're gonna be in Bellaire area, there is a DPS office off of Beltway 8 just north of I-10. Line isn't bad if you go later in the afternoon. Avoid going at lunch. I went near closing time and I was done in about 10mins.

PM me if I can be of anymore help.
