Default Austin - RPMIR - tonight!!!

Folks - Randy has set up a gathering at RPMIR tonight - about 7:30.

Be there tonight or miss out on some really fine indoor carting. There will of course be bench racing over food and drinks afterwards too!

Well, we're trying to get a bunch of the local Z folks, right now we have several of the local S2000 folks going.

We wanted to combine both groups to try to keep the synergy going that we've established over the past two years. We haven't had a joint dinner in 8 months... or a joint drive since last April, so it is time.

The more, the merrier, and also the better chance of getting a discount on the new people as well.

Price breakdown:
$7 - membership
$20 for a 9 minute race (9 minutes doesn't sound like much but it is more than enough once you are out there!)
$38 for two races
$$$ buy two races and get the third for $5!

9 minutes (which is equivalent to 2-3 autocross days - all at once) is more than just challenging... it's fender-to-fender racing where strategy, line, understanding of handling and full exploitation of the car's attributes are all critical.

It's a blast!

This should be a regular event for the car clubs in the area!

Yep, it was a good time.

$40/three races.

We need to go back when they get new rear tires. I found out that they had recently replaced the front tires but not the rears, thus the wicked oversteer.

We need to get the Austin sports car enthusiats back out in numbers. I don't think I have met either ViZion or GoSpeed. Where's Rob and Jan and the rest?

Maybe more notice and a post to the Austin Sports Car mailing list :sigh:

Hope to see everyone again soon.

Derek
