Default tuning stock ecu?

Ok i am from the Ls1 world where editing the stock ecu can be done in a flash (literally). My father owns a Z and i am slowly convincing him he needs boost or n2o. My question is there a softwear program that i can get to edit the stock ecu i see a lot of guys running the piggy back utec stuff but I want to flash the chip its self not install a piggy back i see companys can do it but what are they using?

No, theres nothing like LS1edit.. Theres technosqure but its not a personal tune. Piggyback is the best way to do it on this ECU cause it often times reverts to stock and it fluctuates a lot. its one of the reasons that prevents Z's from making more power.

Well if technosqure is editing chips there has to be a way to do it. Is it just not costefective to get what they use to edit the computers?

they wont sell their secrets. they charge 500+ for each tune, and if it snot perfect, send it back and get charged 300 bucks.

Its cheaper and more effective in the long run to get engine management like Emanage ultimate by greddy or UTEC by TurboXS or Unichip. they're all good for NA, and great for FI applications..
There are a few standalone units coming out.. or are out. AEM, Hydra, MOTEC are a few examples. I expect AEm and hydra to be popular soon

If I remember correctly, I think I heard from my local tuner that technosquare is going to be selling some kind of software to tune the stock ECU... but maybe it will only be sold to tuners, not sure.

I am actually about to get a dyno tune, but my shop (they have a DynoJet) needs the software. I'm doing a tune on top of a Copper Iso Thermal 5/16 Spacer, gutted stock cats, and z-tube. (2004 6mt G35) I know that there is software out there to tune stock VQ ecu's, I'm just not sure if Technosquare is the only one. I'm from the late model muscle world too, so I'm used to seeing EFILive, LS1Edit, and HPTuner software. I know that there are indeed shops around that have the software, but they're not too big on the forums. These are VQ specific shops too, like Performance Motorsports and Xtreme Race Cars. But, I like my shop, and I trust my guy, so can anyone point me in the direction of software please? They're willing to invest in the software for future business. Thanks in advance.

edit: Oh, and I think tuning off of a mod list and a dyno chart is complete bull. How the hell do you get the best tune without seeing the car, much less putting the car on the dyno? Le rip off, especially for 500 freaking bucks. I'm getting a dyno tune for less, and it'll be more efficient. You could be getting a premade tune for all you know.

+1.. for 500 bucks u can get Emange ultimate used w/ harness and have it tuned twice. lol. Emanage ultimate will still be better than technosquare. however ts will always have the most driveability

What do you mean by technosquare having the most driveability?

But I'm paying less than 500 bucks for my tune, and it's going to be a reflash with as many dyno pulls as it takes. I'm not really sure what you're saying. I'd rather spend less, do a one time tune, and just flash it back to stock when I return the car to stock. Back to the focus of the thread.

BUMP! Does anyone have stock ecu programming software?

I wanted to go Technosquare once I go FI for the 7200 RPM redline. I don't want to get that and a Greddy Emanage Ultimate to get the higher redline.

Does anyone know if the Utec can up the redline? I have searched BTW.

We are in the process to make the flash software to work on Windows to
resolve the issues with compatibility.
We will announce the availability on our site when we are informed from
Japan.

Sales
Technosquare, Inc.

P.S.
To give you more idea about the flash programmer, please take a look at
the information from the following link.
http://www.technosquareinc.com/deale...nformation.zip
Here is what I was told about the soft wear.
This is a simply a machine to over write the stock ECU with YOUR
modified data.
There is no other function.
You will be working on the factory program which is in the raw binary
format with binary editor, so you need to have ability to find and
identify maps and what to do with them by your self.
