Default ECU flash for Drive by wire?

I have heard that a re-flash of the ECU can take away the delay in the DBW system....If so, what company does this, because after 5,000 RPM it seems that the throttle falls off a bit until I hit 7,300 RPM...Thanks in advance guys!

Yeah, I have a 2007 and the rev limit is 7600...It seems that the throttle closes up a bit after I reach a certain RPM range...I have heard that a reflash might help this, but of coarse I will wait until there are more miles on the car and I have done more mods...Just trying to get an idea or if anyone might know of any thing on this particular topic yet...I don't know why people reply to topics with no helpful info or answer my question with a question...It's like the civic forums I belonged to 4 years ago....Not much class here....J/K Did the 06 models have DBW??

Technosquare/Techtom Japan is currently working on the 07 HR ECU... maybe within a few months they'll have the completed program.

Technosquare was able to adjust the DBW system in the 03->06 ecus... hopefully they can do the same with the new engines.

How do you know it's the throttle closing and not just the engine naturally out of breath? Used an OBD-II scanner or Consult to confirm?

Umm, I didn't mean that the throttle was so much as closing, but that there is a little lag when accelerating between gears..It has been discussed before, just can't seem to find the thread..(Maybe from another forum)...It's really not that big of a deal, but it can be improved upon.

the lag sucks, i installed a torque damper and it works wonders, response has greatly improved and shifting is smoother, i little more vibration at low rpm but i likes it

I wonder if that's what Tadashi is doing in Japan right now?...

I have heard about the torque damper...It seems that the general opinion is that they really don't do anything for the car...

well i guess you gotta see it to believe it, most of the posts that i read about it had good reviews, if you can't feel the difference then it was probably not adjusted or installed right... i must admit it was a pain to install, and also i don't think they have one for the 07 engine anyway

I've heard of an engine damper but I have no idea what a TQ damper is... further, I don’t know how it could relate to the lag addressed in this thread. If the OP is indicating what I think he is, the drive by wire causes a brief delay in throttle response. It can be very annoying – I had my ECU re-flashed by TechoSquare and it did help. I don’t know if they have 07 yet ECU mapping yet.

Tadashi is in Japan at this minute doing testing… I’m not sure what it’s for but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the new HR motor… possibly he will also have 07 sedan and Z tweaks as well….
