My 2007 really seems to hang onto revs way too long when you let off the gas, is that something that can be gotten rid of? And is this just for emissions or what? I've actually seen the tach jump slightly *up* when letting off the gas quickly.
I've got an '08 G35 6MT sedan, but I'm not sure if I will have 2 weeks I can be w/o my ECU.
I sent an email here yesterday: 'contact@technosquareinc.com'
I also have a 'before' dyno with A/F bone stock.

So am I to understand that new ECU flashes aren't available yet? I'm in Canada so I don't know whether it is available to me. The only thing I would want changed is the electronic top speed limiter. Is there a simple flash for that? Don't really understand the process either, but it seems similar to flashing a BIOS on the computer in principle.
Hi, I am a french 350Z owner and I would like to know if the ECU reflash can work for my european car.
I think I will add a HFC converters (AAM or Berk), an Injen catback and a Injen intake (as soon as available). We have 95 octane gas here (and 98 octane in France).
Is it possible to use a cipher programmer to install the reflash by myself ?

Update:
2008 G37Coupe S 6MT ecu is sent out to Japan, will be back soon,
for Overseas owners, yes, the ECU should work for your European car, if we dont have the program, we may ask you to send your ecu to us so we can download the program (such as we are doing for the 07 prototypers). Cipher is a different company's product, and is not supported by Technosquare.
the Enthusiast ECU was sent back to its owner, and the code is being finalized,
we should have something worthy of posting within the next two weeks.
thank you for your patience.
^^^
the Reflash is the reprogramming of the factory program by over-writing on the flash memory thats onboard the computer. similar to updating a firmware for a hardware unit.

So is there a way to do this, keeping things the way they are now, but just removing the speed limit? How much does something like this cost? How would someone like me in Canada do this? Is there a simple explanation of the process? Something I remove and send to you and then reinstall when you send it back?
Sorry for the novice questions.

Is a reflash tailored to the mods you have or are planning to do, or is this a stand alone upgrade? For example, I am stock now and eventually might bolt up some mods: can I reflash while stock or is it advisable to wait until after you complete the mods?

You choose the reflash program based on the modifications you have to your car at that point.
most important for an effective reflash would be your modification list that has to deal with Air and Fuel, (i.e. we dont care if you have an LSD or strutbar or coilovers. we care if u have HFC or plenum)
best is an AF measured Dyno from behind the cats, a tail pipe sniffer would suffice as well.
adding or changing your engines modification after you get an ECU reflash may require another reprogramming, but in most cases not really.
the two mods that change AFR the most on the VQ Zs are HFCs and plenum spacers/total plenum swaps. everything else (test pipes, intakes, echaust, etc) will change it slightly but not as much/bad as those two.
reflash optimizes your mods.. there's alot of good threads on this subject. feel free to search in the engine / mod forum for "ECU reflash". or goto www.technosquareinc.com and read about the Z ones here:

It would be nice to dyno in 5th though 1:1 w/o the limiter becoming an issue.
