Hey guys. Sorry, there are a few different threats open about the reflash for the HR. I'm going to be talking to Technosquare tomorrow and will see what answers I can get for everyone. I will also see what cars they are still looking for.

I'm chatting to a company right now who has ECU flash available for the 07-08 Z's. 699 US is the price. They also make ECU piggyback modules?

Well these guys seem to have one done, email webmaster@nextlevelracing.com and see if they have one for the G. He knows his stuff, and his name is Brad.
See if they can help you. I'm going to look into one of the piggyback modules for sure.

ok i will, but every response i have gotten in all of the threads has been, "we are waiting on the test car."

And on the G35driver forums, there have been a handful of locals(to them) that are ready to do it and have tried. but to no avail for some other reason.

i still think our crowd will get overlooked. that is my reasoning for possibly pursuing an a/f controller.

Technosquare, Inc. is now offering ECU Reflashes for all models of the 07 & 08 350Z. Mail in reflashes are $550 + shipping. Custom tunes are also available. Please contact Technosquare, Inc. directly at 310-787-0847 for more info.

If you own an 07 or 08 roadster please PM me. We need to get the ECU code off of the ECU to see if the code is the same as in the coupes. If it is, then the ECU Reflash will also be available for the roadsters.

Technosquare is still working on the G35s, which should be available soon.

I have an appointment with TechnoSquare on 4/10/2008 to reflash my '07 Nismo Z. The only engine mod I have is the Nismo CAI. I do not plan on modifying the engine further as I think the CAI and reflash are all the new engine needs. This is going to cost me $700!!! (550 for the reflash and 150 for the Dyno). This had better be worth it!

I cannot wait to get it back and check the results!!!

I will post before and after dyno results with the CAI.

Any thoughts???

I would say bring your OEM intakes and see if they'll do a swap and dyno with those on too... If the results are similar to every other intake that has been tested you'll find that you're better off with the OEM intakes. Tests at Technosquare and t COBB have both shown this. Unless you want the nismo intakes just for the sound and to complete the "Nismo".

It takes too long to swap them out... or I would otherwise agree with you.

I believe you and the results, but the sound is amazing... even if I come out about the same HP wise, the look and sound is well worth it. So, basically I am paying the money to open throttle setting and the governor speed increase (and the dyno). Maybe I will gain a little HP/torque from the tune... we will see...

I have to ask. What is it that a reflash of your ECU will do that the COBB unit won't? Why pay more for a reflash than buying your own COBB unit?

Well, first of all, COBB doesn't have anything for the '07+ yet.

It seems, at this point, TechnoSquare is the only reflash that offer throttle setting changes... removing the "normal" driver mode that comes from the factory and allowing my foot to lead the way... I perceive that it will release the engine for what it has... power!!! I will let you know tomorrow after I pick it up today.

I left the rev limiter setting alone as to not tip off the techs. Also, I asked the speed setting to be set at 185 as current and future tires will have that speed rating.

My thoughts...

Why do you believe the only mods needed are the intake and reflash? You'll get way more power with a full exhaust and drop-ins than with just the NISMO intakes. Unless you're happy with stock power+whatever the reflash will add.

A) I like the new HR engine better than the DE engine. I owned an '04 S-Tuned with Nismo intake and Nismo cat-back exhaust... and the stock HR is a better engine.

B) My Nismo will rarely see the track, and is more for canyon driving in CA and the streets, so going crazy with this car is not really on my mind since I like it much better than my S-Tuned '04.

C) I am hopefully content with the little gain from the CAI and reflash, but time will tell I suppose.... I have a heavy foot.

D) I have a motorcycle that fills the crazy speed feeling I get, so I think the Z is nearly perfect (with the mods of course ).

E) Mods get expensive quick!!! I learned this from my S-Tuned Z, so I used some $$$ to drop in a Navi and other electronic goodies.
