To those of you who have shown dyno results:
Seeing as how the ECU takes time to "learn" to hit the targets the Osiris maps set for it, why are you surprised/disappointed when the numbers are comparable between your "tuned" map (which you have been running for a long time) and the "stock" map when you suddenly switch to it while on the dyno and don't give the ECU any time to reach the new targets?
I am willing to bet if you drove around for a few hundred miles in "stock" then were to dyno your car again that it might be a different story.
Either way, the mid-range gains with Osiris are extremely impressive, and I would sacrifice a few HP/TQ top-end to gain 10+HP/TQ over a wide mid-range any day of the week.

ok but for some reason my car didnt change from the day i got the dyno on my stock map, to them time i went to dyno again in my tuned map after a few k miles. I think i just need to retune it a bit better.

i mean my "race map" isnt much different from my stock map in the midrange or topend. the only difference is that im running hella rich in the "race map". it seems as if the "race map" was not tuned well.

That info is Top Secret. No seriously I'd have to hunt you down if you knew.
We've been swamped here guys, we've hired new staff, and bringing them up to pace, trying to work through our backlog of e-mails and making sure everyone gets their questions answered. I know it sounds like excuses but we also seem to be suffering a spat of computer failures (3 of 4 in 2 weeks) and that is slowing the dev process and bug checking on the end user tuning software.
I can't promise a release date and I don't personally feel it's fair to set up expectations that we can't follow through on. What I can say is that we are trying our hardest to make sure things go smoothly and correctly so that you guys get something that is worth the wait.
Pile on the questions and let me see if I can answer them. I'll be spending some time next week trying to go through this thread and answer what I can answer, and thanks for all your support.

Good explanation. You guys also have to realize that a dyno isn't the most accurate tool on the planet. Each dyno shows different results, ours always seems to register fairly high numbers, even after detailed setup and double checking, some dynos only show half the power ours shows on the exact same vehicle. Another thing is if you check the manufacturers information, most dynos are running a tolerance of as much as 10% or more. Meaning from run to run you can vary from 300hp to 330hp with nothing changed on the car at all.
There are some dynos out there like the DynaPack system that are hub dynos and are like 1-2% tolerance and are good for back to back numbers, but those are rather expensive. Most roller dynos can vary even farther than 10% if you remove the car and put it back on the roller, based on tire friction and how tight the straps are, they also don't account for tire slippage etc (anyone remember the Supra dynos that show a break in the space-time continuum?
Dyno testing is just that, testing, they are not scientific measurement instruments. If you use a dyno as a tool, they are amazingly useful, but they aren't very good at proving power gains unless you're making wide range gains. They do a great job of showing us details we wouldn't get otherwise when we're testing new tunes and tuning cars here at the shop, we wouldn't be able to do what we do without one.

Now for some reason it feels as if my car pulls better with only about 3/4 throttle as compared to WOT.... could it be that i am getting too much air in and maybe nissan made the TB close about 20% up top for a reason??? even though shouldnt the tune have been able to correct the "bogging" with the extra air????
Have you contact Jared yet? If not please do so he can check things out, the more info we have the better we become.
Also so that other people know, if we do a custom tune here at the shop you're paying for the tune, not for the hardware/software. The only reason we make the hardware/software combo is for people that want to do a basic flash tune, or aren't near an Uprev Pro Tuner. If you wanted to get Cipher so that you can log info and reset codes let us know and we'll see what we can do on a Cipher kit for you.
