oh... no actually I didnt check that. Can hyperterminal see the wideband? I thought that was the point of UTI, to basically put the wideband and the utec log together? Maybe im wrong, thanks for your help by the way.
I did notice that in uti on the top of the dashboard there is a line which looks like its taken from the utec logger display, which does display an a/f ratio. Hmmmm is that not usually there?? LOL... I thought it was the narrow band or something?

You're best bet would be to get the wideband working in hyperterminal, that way you will know your connection is correct. If you can't get it to work in hyperterminal you most likely won't get it to work in the UTI.

How do I get the wideband to work with hyperterminal? I didnt know that was possible?
