You mean is my hyperterminal working? Yea works normally. I am assuming that my usb/serial adapter must be the problem?

So you can see the correct A/F values in Hyperterminal but you can't see them in the UTI software? If that is the case I would think it would be in the UTI software.

oh... no actually I didnt check that. Can hyperterminal see the wideband? I thought that was the point of UTI, to basically put the wideband and the utec log together? Maybe im wrong, thanks for your help by the way.

I did notice that in uti on the top of the dashboard there is a line which looks like its taken from the utec logger display, which does display an a/f ratio. Hmmmm is that not usually there?? LOL... I thought it was the narrow band or something?

You're best bet would be to get the wideband working in hyperterminal, that way you will know your connection is correct. If you can't get it to work in hyperterminal you most likely won't get it to work in the UTI.

How do I get the wideband to work with hyperterminal? I didnt know that was possible?

This area is where it was displaying the utec logger line, i thought I saw an a/f in there but im not sure, could have been timing I didnt think to check.

Follow the instructions included with the AEM wideband. It actually walks you through connecting it and reading the data in hyperterminal.
