GTM or technosquare reflash

We don't do group buys and we have a fairly straight forward advertising price policy for our resellers. We want to make sure that you aren't going to end up buying our product from a shady dealer that cannot or will not support you after you purchase our product.

I have a technosquare reflash and I'm happy with it. I've changed some things though and have considered UpRev mainly b/c I'm in NC and I can get my car dyno tuned with it. My car still runs strong after adding the MREV2 and true duals since the reflash but I'm sure I have room for improvement again now.
If you can't get your car dyno tuned for UpRev, then I'd suggest the technosquare b/c of their success and familiarity with reflashing mailed in ECUs. If you aren't happy, I'm sure they'll redo it or refund your money and get it back to stock.

dear UpRev,
I've been to your website numerous times and have read and re-read the difference between your Osiris Standard and Osiris Tuner packages.
Other than the additional $200 to get the Tuner version, what advantages is there in the Tuner that the Standard doesn't offer?
Both offers unlimited reflashing, so how is the Tuner 'better' that justifies the additional $200? Not to mention the additional dyno hours required to develope the map required for the Tuner as it doesn't come with any. The Standard, while cheaper, comes with 3 e-Tunes.
The Tuner comes with 2.0 ROM Editor. What is that and what does it do?
I really wish you would develop and offer 'base maps' for certain modification combination setups (exhausts/intake, etc) for customers to download. Yes, it may not be 'ideal' but it'll be close. Similar to www.powercommander.com for motorcycles.
So in short, can you clarify what it is that consumers get for the additional $200 in the Tuner package.
thanks!

Osiris Tuner adds additional software so that you can tune your car. You don't get the three free tuned OsirisROM files because you are going to tune the car yourself.
The ROM Editor lets you build your own OsirisROM files.
You can have up to five different maps of your choice in each OsirisROM file... Maybe one for 93 octane... one for 89 octane... a valet mode that only goes up to 3500 RPM... Maybe a race gas map... Whatever you and UpRev agree on.
I hope that does it.

JB that totally helps! Thanks! I assume you must have UpRev's Osiris? If so, what kind of gain did you get? I realize peak power is not so important, however, did you smooth out your power curve and how decent was the 'overall' gain?

I've had Osiris for quite a while. I originally had an e-tune from UpRev that worked really well. Since then I swapped in a built engine (still NA) and am still working a few issues out.
Don't discount the e-tunes though. They are as good as other company's flashes (I think better) and you do them yourself right in your own garage. Good stuff.

So my question regarding UPREV.
What are the exact contents of the "kit". If we are only flashing the ecu via obd port - then I assume we can flash it back to stock and when I dump the Z and I can resell the kit to someone else or is it VIN locked.
Basiclly I almost always return a vehicle to stock before I sell it and then sell the mods to get more mods for the new one.I dont want to throw away 500+ on an ecu flash that the new owner may not want/need/care about. Technosquare is off my list for this reason.

UpRev,
According to your site you charge $400 to reflash the ecu? I'm looking at doing this to my 04 350z but not sure if I should go with you or technosquare. What kind of power gain should I expect?

I think there are tools to do a dump and send to them to examine SmallTuner. Contact Jared at UpRev.
UpRev customer service is top notch. In regards to TS, I have heard nothing but good things about them, but being able to flash without removing the ECU is a huge benefit UpRev has over Technosquare. E-mail tunes FTW!
I do wish a company would decode the TCM for 5ATs. They could take over all the valve body upgrade business because I don't think those would be necessary any longer.
