Default E-Manage

Any nitrous guys tuning with emanage? I've seen how it works on some cars here and really like it for bpu + nitrous setup.

If you are talking about using a wet nitrous system and just using emanage to retard timing.. the short answer is yes, it will work. Now keep reading...

If you are staying NA and adding nitrous, consider a reflash tune. This would be easier to quickly switch maps on the fly (using your cruise control buttons) from a NA map to Nitrous map. This way you won't be down on power (retarded timing) when running NA and can quickly change maps if you open the bottle.

If you are going for turbo + nitrous, consider a stronger EMS than emanage, such as Haltech.

Thanks alot but I have a base so no cruise and haltech is too much for just basic bolt ons and nitrous. For the IP flash tune how would I select between maps with a base model?

I'm bumping this because I just bought an emanage to pull timing for a nitrous kit. I'm curious how many others are using it and how it's working.

I'm using Emanage for my NA tune and its great. EMU is best due to the Knock Sensor which can protect your engine. Also, You can have it tuned for NA and then flip the dip switch and have a tune for Nitrous. That way you have the best of both worlds.

Just curious, but why did you guys choose the E-Manage over the Utec?

I ended up with an e-manage for a few reasons. First, the only thing I really wanted to do was pull 3-5 degrees of timing so I could up the shot a little. Secondly, I already had everything I needed for the nitrous kit or I may have went with the UTEC since it can be used to control the nitrous as well. Third, I found one at a good price. I don't plan on doing any hardcore tuning and I'll never go FI with this car so I thought the e-manage would do everything I need it to do.
