Hey guys I just recently installed headers on my car. After installed and re-tuned it felt like it got a lot weaker. I use to tie with my cousin 335xi but now I lost to him! Its the same guy that tuned my car from the beginning and I was just wondering why am I feeling like Im losing power instead of gaining power and on the dyno it just gain 5whp I felt disappointed so just wonder why?

 

This is a well documented fact, search threads here & you will find this often happens. There are other mods you need to get the HP back such as: high flow cats, true dual catback exhaust, tune, & possibly a spacer and upper & lower plenums.

 

the thing is that i got all of them: MREV2 with spacer HKS exhaust intake and tune

 

Didnt you read the countless threads before you wasted your time and $

 

What headers did you get?

 

why would people read................that would make sense

 

This is of little or no value to me. A dyno yes. Your "feelings" no.

 

OP, did you istalled the Borla headers?

I purchase a Strup Header and FYI I did some research on this before purchase and I havent read anything about Strup losing power theres a couple good gain one out there.

there are other factors involved there.

did you do a before and after dyno, and are you able to post them up here?

do you still have stock cats?

 

yeah i got both before and after but its not on me its at the shop and no its test pipe

 

Have you check for any leaks in the system.Look by your sensors they could come loose also check your muffler. Once you remove the cats mufflers will run hotter.Causing some to burn out just look real good.You might be surprised.
