Wanted: UpRev Tuning DIY - Tuning 101?
Exactly. Also, tried on a dyno, couple of runs in 5th gear and it did same thing. A few times hits max. 18, and then next run over 30. I do however turn off the engine in between if that matters.
Was given a list when I received my cable with some highlighted in yellow as bare minimum. I checked off all that was on there. More info the better.
This is a great thread for info!
I have one question regarding idle and stalling. I got a HKS supercharger and I'm having a problem with stalling. After start up I sometimes need to tap the gas to keep it alive. Same thing can happen if rev the engine and let the revs drop quickly.
I raised my idle from 650 to 750 rpm. That helped a little, but it still didn't solve the issue. Any tips what can I do besides bumping the idle?

My timing is in vacuum is the same as with base NA map. I tried that prior to my supercharger install and I did not stall once. I'm a bit afraid to bump the timing beyond that. The HKS SC intake design is not perfect, but I still think the issue is related to the tune. Now I have bigger injectors. Latency is adjusted and minimum pulse width halved (dw600).
I don't quite get how I can add fuel in vacuum. Should I add fuel to MAF after logging the values or the vacuum cells in fuel table. Currently my fuel table is flat 100. And all adjustments is done with MAF-table. Shouldn't the short term correction put it close to 14.7 anyway?
Another problem that I just noticed is jerking/bucking with low revs (under 2500 rpm) and low load.

i know the vortech guys recommend idle of 900 - 1000rpm
question- how do you get injector timing ? i picked up a set of OEM R35 570cc injectors. i searched the net a bit and couldn't find much.

I might try raising the idle that high. Although I'm kind of used to it an know how to keep it from stalling. Feels stupid to idle at 1000 rpm. The light flywheel might not help.
I remember reading from somwhere that you can get the r35 injector latency from the uprev software. Just ask some the base file of R35 and copy from there.
First google result brought this one up.

Stock GTR ROM has:
Injector minimum: 1.83ms
Latency 14V offset: 1.78ms (HEX - 59)
Latency slope: -0.18ms (HEX - 5C)
Yup. I posted them on the previous page a few months ago (post#342). I just used the uprev downloader to grab a stock GTR rom for the values. Worked perfectly. I'll see if I can grab the crank enrichment numbers I'm using as well. The GTR numbers don't work as well for those..

Here's the crank enrich numbers I'm running:
Attachment 367998
Starts up perfectly. I didn't touch cranking timing.

I have GTR injectors, returnless system with GSS342

Sounds like you have the scales set to Celcius? You can change that in the options.
