Default Quaife or UpRev + ART Pipes? Which would you do?

Sup guys,

I am trying to decide between putting ART Pipes on my HR Z and getting a custom UpRev tune made, or installing a Quaife in my open diff rear end. What would you guys do and why?

Open diff sucks. But with this power my power mods would be finished (would be nice.. but would suck at the same time haha since I'd have no where to go from there IMO).

I should note that both will be done eventually..

John

LSD>10-12whp. Especially when you light a one tire fire every time you get on the gas.

test pipes and tune, trust me.. its sweet. only thing is, it will be a little raspy if you have stock exhaust, but not to bad since it will be art pipes.
cat delete is the way to go.

either way you probably going to get both. Its more of which one you want now and which one you want later. i say go for the most expensive one first so that the second one wont seem so far away, aka lsd(plus gearing while your in there) and then the art pipes.

I went power before traction. I should have done it the other way. Even with my VLSD, I couldn't keep my wheels from spinning. I finally got a Quaife and 295 NT05 tires...that should have been my first mod.

Hmm. Granted I'm not familiar with the benefits of the LSD either and say go power. Then again the wAy I'm thinking is that with my bolt Ons at the time I wasn't having traction issues- so that extra bit of snap will be nice but I'm dubious that it would necessitate the LSD.

Then again I'm a G guy and we carry more weight in the back so I'm sure that's a part to play in it.

I also noticed most of the guys saying LSD are FI. If he was FI then id vote LSD all day long. But- NA I'm voting for power!

Sounds like you're only thinking about straight line traction. Push your car to the limits on a turn and you'll see why an LSD, gears, and better tires is the better first mod. You can't even feel the gains from 15hp. OP has an open diff...he doesn't even have the VLSD.
