Default Idling RPM's

I have a UTEC on my car and I want to know if there is a way to raise the idle RPM to about 800 to 850. With the procharger the car vibrates too much at idle. Thanks!

you can raise it through an UPREV reflash. We can set you up with a reflash with sending your ECU to us or we can set ya up with an Osiris standard. PM me if interested.

thanks, vince

What year is your car? Early 350Z/G35 can be raised with Cipher cable and no license necessary. Later models need a reflash for increased idle.

In my 350Z of 2009 (one of the last made i think...) idle rpm is raised with Chiper...no need of reflash...

Don't forget to re-raise it every time you disconnect the battery or otherwise reset the ECU. Cipher is pretty much temporary, Reflash makes it permanent.

It's an '04 Touring model. With the reflash, do I still need the UTEC for further tuning?

Like DJamps said, cipher is temporary, also depending on the scan tool sometimes when clearing codes and learned fueling it will also reset cipher settings.

If you have a protuner near you, you could be fully tuned on UPREV. probaly would be able to sell the UTEC and pay for most of the tune and UPREV itself.
