Well I finally did it, made a modification to the Z which actually made a difference that I could feel.
I decided to get an ECU from FisherSpeed [www.fisherspeed.com] (Located in the Dallas area near where I live. I wasnt particularly fond of letting go of my ECU and loosing my car for a matter of weeks.)
The gains: 14whp which is dyno proven
My car pulled 241 whp (peak) stock
With the ECU it was about 254whp.
The torque curve went up too, by about 10lb/ft.
From 237 to 247lf/ft.
The rev-limiter was raised to 7000rpm which I enjoy very much. That extra headroom at the top of the gear does make a difference when driving.
The electronic governer was removed, I have not been able to test this.
The drive:
The is a noticable push when driving, it left throught out the rpm band but above 4krpm there is no doubt that the gains are real. As I said, the 7000rpm limit really allows you to open the car a tad bit more.

Check the website that he provided. It explains it all. $595 for the flash. However that includes an hour of dyno time, so I'm not sure how that would play out for you people in Monstropolis.

Nevermind
–• For a limited introductory offer, we are offering the FS ecu at an introductory rate of US$595. That price includes one (1) hour of dyno tuning regularly priced at US$150/hr.

This place is in Dallas?? Uh oh, sounds like a road trip....Nashville and Dallas, which way do I go, lol. Guess I need to figure out which real direction I want to go with my car performancewise before I figure out which direction I want to drive. Giving the middle of the country some love, instead of that 'west coast bais', lol.

Unless you're on a road course and don't want to upshift before a corner, you lose power by shifting up that high.
It will take a new set of cams to truly take advantage of a raised rev limiter.

finally we got some competition for ts. now maybe these ecu reflashes prices will start to become more acceptable. its ridiculous to pay 600 plus shipping for someone to download some info on it...
