Default R35 gtr maf be used for a 350z?

I'm wondering if the r35 maf can be used on a 350z for a turbo set up? instead of buying the hpx maf, a used gtr maf is much cheaper on ebay..

GT-R MAF isn't special. It's the same exact sensor that comes in all Nissan from ~2007.

It officially has a different Hitachi part number, but the newer one might just be an updated version with the same specs.

gtr mafs need to run in pairs if you want any kind of increased flow. otherwise they flow similar to single maf stock setups.

djamps, do you know if anyone tried splicing a MAP and temp sensor into the MAF wiring and retuning using UpRev? Both 0-5 volt signals, so I think it could work - completely different sensor curve, but should still be able to be tuned.

Although we do have a temp sensor, the 'corrections' are mostly handled by the MAF's reading itself (e.g. cold air gives higher MAF readings). A MAP setup requires far stronger AIT based corrections...With no ability to adjust compensations in uprev I don't think it can work well if at all, assuming the electrical isn't a problem.
