ECU compatibility
I need to replace my ECU in my 03 350z mt touring. My part number is
PC. MEC31-512 a1 3515 I found one part number PC MEC31-512 a1 3327.
Would these be compatible?
Thanks

I have a similar question on this.
I bought a full swap from a donor vehicle and moved the engine, trans, ecu everything into my car.
So with it being the ECU that was originally paired to the motor will I still have problems with the NATs system in my vehicle?
The car will start and run briefly at a smooth idle then die. From everything I have read this sounds like the NATs system killing it, but I am not ruling out that I have a vacuum leak somewhere from where I am at in putting everything back together.
Also I have an UpRev cable & a few tunes - the prior owner said that one of them has NATs delete functionality. Would this reflash save me a trip to the dealer?

Actually I see quite a few threads regarding the NATS delete via UpRev debate. I'll brush up on those.
More than anything since the ECU was paired to the motor that is currently in the car, will it recognize it is paired to the same motor. Or will the change in the actual chassis trigger NATS to keep the car from running?

NATS is between the key and the ECU. So unless you are using the original key and tumbler in the swap, it wont work without a reprogram
If the car starts at all then NATS is already disabled.

That is a good sign because the car will start & run briefly then die. I think once I have all the vacuum lines hooked up correctly I am going to be in business.
Str8 you also helped me with my return fuel system vs. taking it all back to stock. I ordered all the materials to fab up lines based on the AAM instructions & here we are ... cars running.
I really appreciate the help.

I have a Nissan 350Z 2004 model. VQ35 Motor. We just bought a new engine - also a VQ35 but not it seems that it is the Rev up motor and that this motor is now not compatible to the ecu. Do we have to replace the ecu or can it be reprogrammed? If we have to buy a new ecu how would I know which one to buy? The serial number on the new motor is VQ35901209. Please help if you can as I am desperate. Nissan cannot even give me an answer on this.
