Default Lost Uprev Tune

My hard drive crashed and I lost my tuning file. I spoke with uprev and they said there wasn't a way to get it off the ECU since I did the tune myself.

Is there any way to get the file off my ECU so i can continue to tune it or do i need to start over again?

Thanks,

The tune you loaded onto your ECM is still there, so you can continue to work on it using the parameters you already loaded. This is assuming you still have the original license for your Osiris program/cable. I'm not aware of anyway to download the ECM tune back to your laptop.

I still have the original cable/licence. Would this be done via the live tuning? When I try this it asks for the tuning file.

Thanks

It may depend on how many licenses you have. If it was only a single license and you lost the tuning file (and license along with it), it may not let you go back to it. You'd be forced to start over and buy another license. This is a question for UpRev.

This has nothing to do with the licensing.

OP you will have to start over with your tune. Even though the tune is currently saved on the ECU, there is no way to access it or live tune without a copy of it on your laptop. You cannot download the tune from your ECU. Always save a backup copy somewhere else.

Also, if you already called UPREV and they told you there was no way to get your tune off the ECU.. .why would you come on the forum and ask if you could??? You already got your answer direct from the source.

The reason I checked with the forums was to find out if there was another way to get the file off the ECU that Uprev wasn't willing to tell me about and to verify that the file is truly lost and I wouldl need to start over.

Also to see if anyone else had run into this issue and discovered a work around.

Hopefully this was enough of a reason to post the question.

Thanks for all the feedback.
