Default Trans Am vs TT 350Z

I guess TA's are not designed to go fast...

Seems like that car has a little more umf in the lower speeds, but as soon as those turbos get to going, it’s over with. Not sure if this is your car, but nice kill.

Man that is kinda sad if you ask me. The Z should of pulled a lot harder then that, unless the mods listed for the transam were not quite acurate. It did say the TA was a factory freak so it could maybe have an ls6 cam slipped in it.

actually its quite accurate.. a full bolt on LS1 car (camaro or TA) with a big cam is about as fast as a boosted Z

Yeah except that TA was not a full bolt on. That car would make about 345whp max and a full bolt on with cam car could be anywhere from 400-450rwhp. The video says it only has y-pipe and exhaust. My friend has an 02 WS6 and even said the Z should of pulled harder, unless the TA had more mods that he was not telling us about.

what i was saying is. with a cam and full bolt ons that TA would have hung in there with the Z. as would have been right beside the Z or possibly ahead of it. the Z in that video up there ^ does look like its on greddy's 5.5psi. so i truly beleive that the mods the TA guy claims is realy all he has

check it out:

i was kind of dissapointed in the Z after that video. i figured it'd be a bit faster than a bolt on/head/cam camaro SS. turns out.. its a neck to neck run. what i will do is build my block so i can make 450rwhp +

I forgot that the Greddy kit came stock with 5.5psi. That would explain a lot as why he didnt demolish a basicly almost stock TA. Don't feel bad, bolton/head/cam ls1s are freakin wicked. Most that are done with a really big cam and good tune will put down around 425-450rwhp. If I had a stock motor with just a bolton turbo kit I would be glad if I could even hang with them. Thats why god made forged internals.

Yea guys is true not to everyone looks is everything some other like to have a crappy 1980's mustang or firebird with rust but whoop everyone in the street. But also we have to look at their powerplant compared to ours they basically have double the size of our engine if the z brought a v8 just near their specs i dont think they would have much of a chance.

Also lots of people buy V8's just becouse how cheap its to hook them up and go fast but their comes the looks.

what we need is prices for kits/parts for the Z to come down in price.. as well as excellent tuning available all over the US.

^^ Lol. That Z did ok, I take that "factory freak" TA had more than listed. In the end of the first run that Z was pulling that TA hard, and that TA should have no problem trapping 110+mph, so the Z did good considering it pulled mostly in 4th and 5th.
