I bought some shocks because my OEM shocks could not hold the hatch up during cool weather because of the Nismo spoiler. Now, the hatch will actually go up by itself, and stay up...no more having the hatch fall on my head.
1. It was 60 degrees when I filmed the video. Not cold by any means, but cool enough that the hatch shocks wouldn't hold the hatch up.
2. Ignore me in the video...I had to get the hatch up somehow
3. That big plastic piece inside the hatch is missing because I was trying to locate a rattle.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8Jr8TYsIepw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8Jr8TYsIepw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

wowwow great results. my hatch hurts my head alot. surely you've felt my
pain. I always wanted to retrofit another set of tein struts to replace the
nissan oe's... gotta get out my ruler to check their length vs. oe.

We need specifics (prices, part #'s) and sources.
My wife's hatch is trying to kill her!
Mine stays up even in cold, but does not lift itself.
Seems like you need the nickel trick too...

It's always been like that, even with the OEM spoiler. But I don't think anyone's hatch just flies up as soon as you hit the release button...?
Yep, I did that on my SB Z. I need to do it for this one.
