I emailed Fujita to see what their status was, hope to hear something soon.
on a 2nd note, does anyone know if this intake, let alone any other intake system for 350z's have problems with setting off a *check engine* light?
just curious because on my previous car, Mazda6, all aftermarket intake systems set off the check engine light and to get this fixed you had to drop some major bucks to a 3rd party company for an ECU fix.
just hoping i won't have to deal with this on my 350z.

I did not read most of this threat just the original post and I have to add something.
Why make a shiney metal intake tubes that conduct heat well and stand out so much?
I like the design of the system, maybe want to add heatshielding boxes.
But why not make the piping out of a black plastic material to help stay cooler and look stock when you pop the hood.
I dont know I guess I am one of the few people more into performance and numbers than bling bling.

you should buy the Stillen intakes then.
Personally, the performance differance you will get between metal piping and plastic will not be noticeable. But, this can be argued forever so that is just my opinion.
For me, I like the look of the shiny aftermarket intakes so that's why i'm holding out for Fujita. Here is the response I got this morning.
"Since we have been pre-selling the intake to our dealers, the first batch for the intakes have been sold out. Our dealers will have the intake by the end of the month, so my suggestion would be to contact one of our dealers to get your name on a list or to purchase the intake before they sell out of there stock. We have a list of dealers that you can contact on our website, www.f5air.com"

If you had read the thread you would have seen that heat shields are available.
Black plastic will absorb heat faster and hold it longer because it won't radiate it away as fast. Also most people modify their cars so it doesn't look stock.
Also at any speed over 10mph heat soak is pretty much non existent.
Not to sound like an ***, but if you are going to say "I don't know I guess I am one of the few people more into performanc and numbers than bling bling" you should probably understand how/why a car can make more HP because of modifications.
