I never understand why people dyno their intake mod. The car isnt moving and therefore isnt even drawing air as close to what you would be getting when u are driving.

any good dyno shop should have high speed fans on all dyno runs. One we had simulated wind conditions of a car traveling at around 45mph

We should have it available in about 30-45 days. Our production crew are currently behind.

What time frame does Fujita have on releasing the intake for the 2007 350z?
Thanks

Those fans don't do didly squat. lol

They push the hot air from inside the facility onto the front of the car which doesn't prove anything. Real world testing is the best. Do 10 consistant runs at the same track with a OEM intake, then do it with the aftermarket intake right after.

of course real world testing is ideal, but unfortunately no dynos you can strap on and go

actually, those fans are very effective

i agree with powerwark, i think that those fans provide enough air, specially with car hoods open to atleast simulate a 45 mph drive. Anyways enough with this lets just wait for dyno results and whoever is pleased with those could buy the intake.. what's the point to be proven here with all the discussion wether dynos are good or not.

PS- if indeed dyno's aren't really a good measure of power because this or that then that stillen intake is probably not making any power, in fact it could be loosing.

Ive been to a couple of dynos and im pretty sure they dont do that much. Yes to a certain extent but no where near the potential in where you are really taking advantage of an intake.

The primary reason for having the fans on the dyno is so the car doesn't overheat

There you go.

Remember guys, at highway speeds a vehicles fans don't turn on because the incoming air will be sufficient to cool down the radiator. This is the reason why fans usually turn on when the vehicle is at a standstill.

On that same note, you can't really do more than about 3 dyno runs back to back... after that you're really risking overheating and you will be badly heat soaked anyway.

In every dyno I've seen, the first dyno run has the most HP by far, and the 3rd has the least.

Regardless of the few hp you might see, for me this would be more of a sound mod. Ive heard a few intakes on cars before but, do you guys think this will sound like our car revved up without the filters in? Ive revved it up with filters out twice to show my friends, they said it sounded like a racecar lol, its soooo loud, i want it like that at WOT so bad.

+1 and even if the fans can creat a 60mph wind, your not going to dyno the car in 2nd gear. The car will be atleast in 4th going 120+

We should have a company do a independent dyno of all the 07' intakes. If the companies want, I am a willing participant.

If you agreed that the fans are good enough to measure, and the Stillen showed slight increase in HP and TQ according to them on the dyno, how can you turn around and say the Stillen's might be losing power if the dyno's end up not being a good measure?

While I understand some CAI actually lost power in some previous model Z's due to the longer tubing, the Stillen is still a short ram and really only changed the filter and added a heat shield, I'd find it hard to believe with those changes it created a loss of power...

Its true, there isn't much difference between the stock setup and "the CAI". The stock setup with a K&N drop-in creates less restriction, but the conical filters create even less restriction. They also don't need to be cleaned as often.
The tube can be argued, but Fujita's is pretty nice...

I bought my Fujita setup for 3 reasons...
1. The polished tube looks nice.
2. The Fujita setup gave me the opportunity to add a custom heat diffuser.
3. The MAF plugs into the tube, which allows for smooth air flow tip to tip, with the exception of the sensor, lol.
