On a happy dyno they are. If they're putting 20HP more at the crank over the DE, they shouldn't be putting out more than 13-15WHP.

No, the G37s do though. The 07 Z's average 260-265 on a dynojet. Hes like 5hp below the average. Maybe a warmer day? The DE engines put down 240-245 stock on a dynojet.

all these intake dynos make me stray farther and farther away from even considering an intake... I'll wait till drop in filters come. Maybe a tune is much needed for intake owners.

I don't think you guys understand that with any intake you will not show much gains on a dyno. You can't compare a car sitting on a dyno with a small fan in front of your car to going 60mph. Here is a link to a great article gm did testing on an aftermarket intake showing that it barely showed any hp and tq improvements on the dyno but once they put it on the track with the new 1/4 mile and trap speeds it was the equal to the car gaining near 30hp to the wheels. They also said the faster they went the more power the car gained.

thats only this specific intake cause its engineered to take advantage of the air that the car is moving through. a fugita is just a tube with a filter on the end, no ducting or anything. it'd be pretty sweet if vararam made an intake for the z

Wow, I'm sorry for the OP. I'd be pissed if I spent $300 just to lose precious 10whp...I'm glad I didn't act a fool and buy intake for my 07.
