Not sure if this was covered yet - I don't feel like reading 15 pages. I had my slave cylinder replaced back in the summer after experiencing the clutch pedal sticking. They replaced it with the new and updated part, so when I got the recall notice in the mail I figured the recall will replace the slave cylinder with the same part as I already have. To be sure, I called my service manager and asked him about it. He told me that the recall part is actually different than the part I got when they originally took care of the problem. So to anyone that already got the "fix" before the recall, go get it done. I'm getting mine done tomorrow and after reading this I'm very interested to see the difference in the shifting feel.

just took my car for an oil change and my dealer alerted me about the recall. Guess it popped up on there CPU. I aleady knew about it and wasn't going to tell them till I was ready to do it. But I was impressed, they went ahead and ordered all the parts even though the problem hasn't hit me yet.

glad Im not the only one. I said from day one the clutch felt funny in these things. The guy who went on the test drive with me asked me if I ever drove stick before. I told him to kiss my ***.

Hmmm I might check into this clutch fluid.
Anyone got a link for this stuff? Is it worth the penny?

Just called in to drop off my car tomorrow at 5pm. The dealership has a service dept. that stays open til midnight. He said Fridays are slow so when I drop it off, it SHOULD be ready by 9pm. Parts in stock and everything.

The tech is going to try to gain some hours (nissan is only paying the techs 3 hours worth of work) on something that takes about 5, so expect to pay an extra 200-350 dollars to have an aftermarket clutch installed. In any event, make sure you know your tech, It's always good to know people... there a lot of f**kups out there working on cars and you don't want them to drop the ball...

I just received a call from the dealer as a follow up asking if I was satisfied with the service. I told him no and explained that their mechanic told me there's no adjustment in the shifter guide, even though he felt that it was different after the service than before.

They turned me away after making a seperate appointment for just that issue and promised a callback. Never got that callback and he apologized for that as well.

He then offered to have the nismo intake I ordered recently(online) installed free while they took care of looking at the shifter guide. The intake probably won't be in for a week and a half though, so we'll see how things go.

Finally someone who understands customer service!

Just got my car back today and I can definetly tell a difference. The clutch pedal seems to push up alot harder when Im releasing the clutch and I dont seem to have any more issues shifting into 2nd at high rpms.

yeah that use to happen to me a lot to, like the engine lights and everything blinks for a bit like it wants to shut down on me, well now it's gone after the replacement was put in. i've said before that first gear seems smoother, well after a week it's back to normal, but i noticed it right after i let my cousin drove the car, and he kindda went crazy and did the heel-toe move and downshifting like crazy, so iono if he had anything to do with it or not. anyone else got some input after the recall?

Hey fellas,

Im frm Asia n did nt receive any recall frm Japan concerning the slave cylinder recall. My clutch is fine however, me n some couple of HRs are having the same "sputtering or studdering issue", driving on 1st or 2nd gear. Is this caused by the slave cylinder?

p.s: read thru all d 15 pages of post, nobody mentioned abt the issue.

Cheers,
D
