Recall on slave cylinder
i dropped my car off today and the tech said it'll be done tomorrow by 5 so i'll keep you guys update on what happened, if it's like solo said that the car will be easier to drive then i'm excited.
This is great news. I am going to check to make sure that my updated part, is the correct part they are using for replacement.
So far it has been holding during heavy traffic, but I still get the occasional burning smell.

Again it does seem it's easier to drive. But this morning I also noticed the clutch pedal is a bit harder to push down now. Like it's stiffer.
How would this affect clutch slipping that you guys feel a new clutch setup would be warranted?
Does it partially engage causing glazing? I would think its either or, but again I never had it happen to feel what it going on.
If you guys state its feeling stiff already, thats enuff for me to take my car in flat out. Making my appt today

Called the local dealership where I purchased the car and they said they havent heard anything about it, and to call back in a few weeks. So I called NNA and finally got through to someone. The eventually opened a claim and instructed me to call the dealership again and have them look up my VIN number to find the issue.
Im now waiting on the dealer to call me back.

I called and made my appt for the 1st to let snow melt
I asked about the clutch disc check. He said he needs to check with the service manager, but nothing in the recall mentioned on it.
Its a long shot, but why not. Its only a $36k car

So far, I haven't received my TSB information mailing but I also reside in Canada. So hopefully, it also covers the Canadian models, which it should.
Hopefully, the vendors will be offering a aftermarket flywheels for the 2007's by then. Since the transmission is out anyways
IMO, the vendors/manufacturers are missing out on a HUGE market opportunity.

You guys recommend I remove my body kit, especially the front lip? Never taken it to the dealer before, so kinda worried about them bringing it apart and not putting back together properly.
I want to not take it since I have'nt had any issues with clutch, but do to safety reasons I guess I have too.
I hate stealerships.

my dealer insists that the clutch should not have been harmed through both of my clutch sticking incidents. its like pulling teeth just to get them to take a look because they said that would require tranny work.

you dont have to drop the tranny out the switch out the slave cylinder, its located externally toward the driver side of the tranny. i went to my dealer today and they had a 2006 Z up on the racks and they showed me where the slave cylinder was located on our cars
