for the record I've never had a clutch problem with my 07 and it falls under the VIN range. I do spirited driving pretty several times a week also. I guess it's time to call the dealership

I'm going in on Monday at 7:30 also, but knowing that they have to pull the tranny freaks me out. And I only have 2000 miles on the car.

So is this something else BESIDES the slave cylinder issue? Because I know what u mean by the winding noise.

That's what i'm thinking....if it ain't broke don't fix it but this is a recall, i'll wait and see.

I got my car back.

Driving impression: Nothing noticeable except the clutch feels a little stiffer (kind of like when I first bought the car a few months ago). The tech said he replaced the slave cylinder and poured some brand new fluid in there.

When I took it out for a drive, I noticed that my 4th-5th gear shift was kind of notchy. However, I just drove it like 15 minutes ago and it seemed to be running perfectly.

We'll see how this will hold up at the track.

Received my letter from Nissan in the mail today. Like some of the other people in this thread, my car has (luckily) never had any clutch issues even during canyon driving or at the track.

My worse fear is taking it in to get fixed and then the clutch starts acting up afterwards.
