Whinning noise at 3-4k rpm... any idea..?

One think it *could* be is just a combination of the intakes with your exhaust.

I know a lot of people had trouble with Gruppe M intakes on BMW's when coupled with certain exhaust systems. The 2 combined produced horrible resonations that couldn't otherwise be explained...see if anyone else has that exhaust system on an 07...

Hey mate, my intakes are still stock. The whinning noise is nt as bad as b4 (not dat loud), i tried to take a video but its doesnt really "catch" the sound dat i was talkin abt earlier.

I tried searching in the forum whos using my exhaust but no such luck. Im using Amuse R1 so if anybody have d same exhaust, let me know

I stopped noticing it around 5-6k miles. But that's also when I switched to synthetic, hmm just thought of that.

I switched at 3500 miles, and I was on a blend after the first 1300, so it definitely would have been gone early in my case....not that you need synthetic for any reason in this car.

Just an update guys on my car, i had to change my Final Drive. Took out my Amuse n apparently dats where the whinning noise are coming from. My nissan dealer are ordering the part, may take a while but at least my car is still under warranty n ofcourse its free... I hav to hold my coilover installation as it may void my warranty..
