it was a little different and a custom job, this is using the actual HR kit and several parts that arent like the DE kit

I don't want to be a party pooper, but it will take lots of effort to pass smog check. Unlike just exhuast modes where you can just swap the exhuast system once that time come. But for this, you would have to take out turbos and intercooler. Then swap cats back in. And convert ECU to stock mode. No thanks. Just be happy with NA setup - much easier to do back and forth on exhuast system or just get GTR.

Is the Greddy setup going to have CARB? Probably not.

thats great and all, and applies to CA, but the majority of people that will get this kit dont have to worry about ghey CA smog laws and many dont have to worry about passing smog at all. and no, it wont be CARB approved, just like the turbo kits for the DE. the supercharger kits are CARB approved though and thats what a lot of people in CA do.

PS: smog is easy, just cause you have a horribly illegal car by CARB standards doesnt mean it isnt something that $300 under the table wont fix

Are you saying that GTM's HR TT is not custom? Up to this point everyone that is doing a TT for the HR platform is custom. GTM and PF are innovators for the Z community and have done alot for it. With that being said, until you see GReddy, JWT, or any other company come out with their own version, i think it would be safe to say these are all custom kits.

Good find though. It is finally good to see the HR platform getting some attention in the F/I department

yes, its a mass production kit that they are sending to other shops and people that order them, just like a greddy kit. probly not as high of production numbers, but still mass production. it was designed around the HR and the kit that is shipped fits for the HR specifically. its not custom

I think the guys at GTM (George/Sam) have their act together and are a top notch sponsor. I give them a for their contribution to the forum and Z owners.. I look forward to seeing what they have to offer next

GReddy's turbo kit pricing has increased significantly for the DE kits, and don't expect the HR kits to be cheaper, much more involved kit and more piping. Not to mention we used water cooled Garret turbos.

I know someone who works for Greddy. Last I checked, the MSRP for the DE kit is $6600 and the HR kit was $6900. Vendors could probably give you great deals on the kits when they come out. Current DE kits go for ~$5k.

An very nice kit that i would choose over greddy in a heartbeat. But who has that much money to blow when the economy is so bad right now and work is hard to find.
